We are continuing to accept applications until a candidate is selected.The Alternate Health Facility (AHF) is a 40-bed off-site unit designed for patients who no longer require acute care but need transitional support before moving to rehabilitation, long-term care, retirement living, or other post-acute settings. An interprofessional team—including physicians, nurses, personal support workers, and staff from dietary, environmental services, and Infection Prevention and Control—provides comprehensive care. Fully equipped for acute medicine patients, the AHF delivers the same high standard of care as the NBRHC main site.QUALIFICATIONSCertification/Experience/KnowledgeCurrent Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) certificate is required (within the last twelve months)Dementia care, pharmacotherapy, falls/mobility, osteoporosis, delirium training requiredDe-escalation techniques requiredRecent Medical/Surgical clinical experience in an active care setting (within the last 2-3 years) requiredRecent palliative care experience requiredCurrent certificate in IV Therapy and Central Line Management requiredRequired experience working with:Central Venous Lines Management (CVC)Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) certificationComputerized Ambulatory DrugDelivery (CADD) pumpsEnteral feeding care and managementTracheostomy and suctioning careWound careSkills/AbilitiesMust demonstrate excellent level of interpersonal skillsMust demonstrate excellent level of written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team, clients, families,
