Iron Worker / CNC Shear Operator

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Iron Worker / CNC Shear Operator to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate will operate CNC-controlled shear equipment to accurately cut metal materials according to specifications and engineering drawings.

Location: Brantford, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a CNC-controlled shear machine to cut metal materials to specified lengths.
- Use the machine's automatic backstop to position material accurately before cutting.
- Monitor the equipment and make adjustments as required during production.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure parts are produced accurately.
- Accurately read a tape measure to 1/16" and verify measurements.




- Perform quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating CNC machinery, shears, iron workers, or similar manufacturing equipment is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to operate computer-controlled equipment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong measurement skills, including reading a tape measure to 1/16".
- Positive attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing is preferred.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
