Sanitation Worker – Food Production Manufacturing

Shift: Monday to Saturday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

About the Opportunity

Our staffing agency is currently recruiting Sanitation Workers on behalf of one of our clients, a well-established food production and manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, secure, and sanitary production environments.

The successful candidates will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, tools, and workspaces in accordance with food safety and workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, drains, and other facility areas.
- Follow established sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for thorough cleaning.
- Remove food debris, waste, and other materials from production areas.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, or sanitation deficiencies to the appropriate supervisor.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other sanitation-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, industrial cleaning, or sanitation is an asset.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment.




- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety instructions.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and reach as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Food manufacturing or sanitation experience is an asset, but training may be provided to suitable candidates.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in a wet, cold, or variable-temperature production environment, depending on the facility.
