Location: Downtown Toronto, ON – Hybrid
Hybrid Requirement: Currently 2 days per week onsite, with the possibility of increasing to 4 days per week
Duration: 12-month contract
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Rate: $20–$29/hour, Inc.
Hours: Rotating bi-weekly shifts: 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. EST

About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Analyst / Trade Settlement Analyst to join the Global Markets operations team of a large financial services organization.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in trade settlements, trade processing, confirmations or clearing who is looking to further develop their Capital Markets operations experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing, confirmation and settlement of Money Market transactions, while investigating trade breaks, resolving discrepancies and working closely with internal teams and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and settle Money Market transactions accurately and within established deadlines
- Verify and confirm trades with counterparties
- Manage settlement and clearing activities to ensure timely completion
- Review daily reports and identify outstanding or upcoming settlement issues
- Investigate trade breaks, discrepancies and exceptions
- Resolve transaction issues and follow up on outstanding items
- Respond to inquiries from traders, clients and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve settlement issues




- Maintain accurate trade, confirmation and settlement records
- Monitor upcoming settlements and proactively identify potential issues
- Work within strict processing deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
- Support audit and reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve settlement and confirmation processes

Must-Have Qualifications

- 2+ years of banking or financial services operations experience
- At least 1–2 years of direct experience in trade settlements, trade processing, confirmations or clearing
- Hands-on experience working with trades and financial transactions
- Experience investigating and resolving trade breaks, discrepancies and exceptions
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive processing workplace
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

- 2–3+ years of banking back-office or Capital Markets operations experience
- Money Market settlement or confirmation experience




- Experience with settlement and clearing processes
- Previous experience within Capital Markets or Global Markets operations
- Experience communicating with traders, counterparties or institutional clients

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced operations environment where accuracy, timing and attention to detail are critical. Success will be measured by accurate daily trade processing, minimizing settlement failures and proactively identifying and resolving issues before settlement dates.

Candidates must be comfortable working a bi-weekly rotating shift schedule.

The current hybrid arrangement requires 2 days per week onsite in downtown Toronto, with the possibility of increasing to 4 days per week in the future.

$20 - $30 per Hour
