Triumph Industrial Process Ltd., a local owned and operated business in Nisku, is seeking a Journeyman Fitter/Welder. We are looking for self-driven, positive, and hardworking individuals to join our outstanding team!

Working in a fast-paced environment this Full-time position may include some evening/weekend shifts and the candidate should have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include:

- Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use.
- Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
- Assemble & fit sections and plates to form complete units per drawings/specifications, using overhead crane equipment where necessary.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and report to supervisor.
- Organize and keep work area and equipment clean and functional,



performing general house keeping and daily clean-up of work area as required.
- Participate in Triumph’s Safety Program including accident investigations and worksite inspections & promote safe work practices.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Requirements:

- Valid provincial Journeyman Certification in Welding or Fabrication.
- Robust verbal/written communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read drawing, layouts and follow work order instructions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
