Job DetailsUnion: CUPE - TWNumber of vacancies: 1New or Replacement Position: ReplacementSite: Toronto Western HospitalDepartment: Schroeder Arthritis Institute, Outpatient ClinicsReports to: Clinical ManagerHours: 37.5Wage Range: $28.64 - $29.52 (Start rate non‑negotiable)Shifts: Variable Weekdays, Monday to FridayStatus: Temporary Full‐Time (1 Year)Closing Date: June 3, 2026Position SummaryThe Schroeder Arthritis Institute is the largest multidisciplinary arthritis hub in Canada, integrating medical, surgical and basic science aspects of Hand, Orthopedics, Osteoporosis and Rheumatology with a goal of making a global impact in discovery, learning and patient care.DutiesProvide patient admitting/registration function, receiving/registering patients/visitors coming in for tests/procedures and/or appointmentsProvide patient administrative services, organising and maintaining patient charts, electronic and paper information filing systemsProvide reception responsibilities of answering, screening and triaging telephone callsPerform unit administrative services ensuring efficient operation of the unit, within scope of authoritySchedule patients for tests, special procedures and/or urgent/emergency appointmentsFollow established procedures to ensure the efficient flow of patient appointments, providing routine clerical support servicesQualificationsAt minimum, completion of a post‑secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration or a recognised equivalentGeneral knowledge of office practices, process and proceduresKnowledge of medical terminology preferredExperience working in a health care environment an assetKnowledge of a second language an assetSix (6)
