Job Purpose The Test Development Engineer role will be a key contributor in defining, developing, and deploying high quality, automated Functional Test (FT) and System Test solutions for complex electronic devices, with a specialization in RF, Optical, and Pluggable equipment. This role focuses on both software and hardware test development. While you will write robust, scalable test code in Python, C or C++ for RF and optical testing, you will also design test fixtures,



requiring foundational knowledge in electronic and mechanical engineering to ensure product quality, performance, and compliance. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities Define, develop, and execute functional and system-level test solutions for customers' products, encompassing the design of test hardware (fixtures/cables) and test software, with a robust emphasis on Python for automation. Work with R&D and Manufacturing teams to implement test strategies for new product introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing of RF, Optical, and Pluggable devices. Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to control test equipment, collect data, and generate comprehensive test reports. Expertly perform and implement testing for high-speed digital and high-frequency RF/Optical measurements. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve hardware, software, and measurement issues across test fixtures, automation code, and units under test (UUT). Manage the process for manufacturing test by developing and documenting criteria, justifying exceptions, and ensuring proper implementation in the test flow. Create, verify, and maintain essential test documentation (test plans, test procedures, test setups, debug instructions, training manuals, etc.). PerformDesign for Testability (DFT) analysis of customer designs, focusing on access points and test points relevant to functional and system-level testing.
