We are a warm and welcoming family in Calgary, Alberta, looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy person to join our household on a part time basis. We are looking for someone who can provide a combination of elder care and companionship, household support, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. We are a busy household, so having someone who can help keep the home running smoothly and prepare meals for the family would be a very important part of the role. The primary focus will be supporting an elderly family member with day-to-day needs, companionship, and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for at home. We are also looking for someone who is available to provide overnight support approximately 2 nights per week. Our family member requires some assistance and reassurance during the night, so overnight availability is an important part of this position. Depending on the day, responsibilities may include:

CA$20.00–CA$21.00 hourly

- Providing companionship and social interaction
- Assisting with daily routines and household tasks
- Providing support and reassurance during overnight shifts
- Meal preparation for our elderly family member and the household
- Planning and preparing simple, nutritious family meals




- Light housekeeping and maintaining common areas of the home
- Laundry and general household organization
- Grocery or meal-related errands, if required
- Medication reminders and other non-medical support
- Providing respite and support to the primary caregiver
- Helping create a comfortable, clean, and welcoming home environment

We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, dependable, organized, and comfortable working within a family home. Experience providing elder care, companionship, housekeeping, and meal preparation would be required. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable providing overnight care and be available for approximately 2 overnight shifts per week. This is a live-out, part-time position, with a combination of daytime/evening hours and occasional overnight shifts. We are open to discussing a schedule that works for the right person. The role could be particularly well suited to someone who enjoys caring for others, cooking, and keeping a household organized.
