The role includes conducting orientation for all new employees, contracted staff, volunteers, private caregivers, agency staff, and students as required by the Ministry of Health under the Long Term Care Homes Act and regulation 79/210.The starting annual salary is $75,000.00.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the Quality Program and the Proactive Compliance Inspection (PCI) process.Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and submit the Annual HQO Quality Improvement plan and progress report for the Home.Lead the internal Quality Team Meetings.Train recent team members on the RQI process.Coach, mentor, and facilitate teams on lean models for quality improvement projects, using tools such as fishbone diagrams, PDSA, and flow charts.Review, discuss,
and follow up on all quality and risk management activities.Monitor quality indicators on the public CIHI website and Your Health System portal.Facilitate quality meetings and maintain a central resource hub for quality improvement activities.Participate in learning experiences that enhance emotional self‑awareness and a person‑centered approach.Demonstrate understanding of performance measurement, SMART goals, and program evaluation.Present data analysis, trends, and quality improvement activities to interdisciplinary team members, stakeholders, and residents’ and family council.Understand and communicate the meaning of quality indicators used by the Home, including those publicly reported.Participate in quality committees and assist in completing quality projects and evaluating program effectiveness.Coordinate in‑service sessions across all shifts.Collaborate with colleges and universities to arrange student placements in-house.Prepare employee preceptors for student clinical placements.Follow clinical students and preceptors, acting as a resource and advisor.Maintain individual employee education records in the e‑learning system and provide feedback at performance reviews.Manage the e‑learning platform for the Home.Complete any additional tasks as assigned.QualificationsRegistered health professional licensed under the Health Disciplines Act and registered with a regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction other than Ontario, holding the equivalent of a certificate of registration authorizing independent practice in Ontario (Bill 60).Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare practices, trends,
and issues in long‑term care and their impact on other health care sectors.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong knowledge of Quality/Risk Management philosophies and programs.Master trained in the Resident Quality Inspection process.Understanding of the RAI‑MDS 2.0 process and CIHI’s indicators.Working knowledge of relevant computer applications and applicable legislation.Positive working attitude and strong interpersonal/team‑building skills.Ability to identify training needs of the team and individuals.Experience with a learning management system platform is an asset.Experience in long‑term care preferred.Transparent vulnerable sector screening, TB test results not older than six months, and at least three supervisory references.BenefitsCompetitive wagesSupport for personal and professional growthEmployee benefit planEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramMatching RRSP contributionWe appreciate all applicants’ interest.
