We're an online cigars and tobacco retailer with an established presence in the US market. Our business has been growing steadily, to cope with our expansion we are launching our operations into the Japanese premium cigar market, therefore we're looking for an experienced marketing specialist to lead the launch and drive sales. The successful candidate will own our Japan online sales channel from end to end. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working in a small team, this is an independent role for a self-starter. What you'll do Own and grow online sales from the Japanese market Optimize our Japanese-language DTC presence for conversion, including Japanese SEO Build relationships with Japan's cigar community to drive awareness of our brand and ultimately drive sales Plan and execute go-to-market initiatives: test channels, measure ROI, and focus investment where it performs Run campaigns in business Japanese across relevant platforms Monitor sales, conversion,



and ROI; report regularly and refine strategy based on results Ensure all activity complies with Japanese tobacco advertising regulations and platform policies; coordinate legal reviewbefore any external launch — no exceptions Perform other duties assigned by the manager Must-have Proven experience in digital marketing and selling commodities online (DTC/e-commerce) Business-level written Japanese; working proficiency in English Genuine understanding of Japanese consumers behaviour of shopping online Self-directed and resourceful — with an ability to solve problems independently, while remaining aligned with company policies, framework and team culture Sound judgement supported by data Able to work in office in Markham, ON Personal interest in cigars / premium lifestyle What success would look like in the first 90 days Japanese DTC presence launched and converting Initial market traction with a measurable sales pipeline Go-to-market plan for the next phase proposed What we offer: Base Salary: $20 - $25 per hour Uncapped sales commission tied directly to Japan market revenue #J-18808-Ljbffr
