CPA Manitoba works to protect the public and support a solid, trusted accounting profession. Position Summary CPA Manitoba is seeking a qualified CPA to serve as its Tax Clinic Program Coordinator on an independent contractor basis. The Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting of CPA Manitoba's annual volunteer income tax clinics delivered through the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), working closely with CPA volunteers, host organizations, and CPA Manitoba staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for CPA Manitoba's tax clinic program, including liaising with host organizations and CPA volunteers. CVITP Volunteer Training
Prepare and facilitate volunteer training sessions for the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). Provide ongoing guidance and support to volunteers throughout the program. Tax Clinic Planning and Logistics
Support the recruitment of CPA volunteers.
Assist with promotional materials and communications related to the tax clinics. Work with CPA Manitoba staff to ensure CVITP requirements, EFILE requirements, and technology needs are in place for successful clinic delivery. Coordinate clinic logistics, including setup, attendance tracking, supervision, and volunteer support. Provide guidance and respond to tax-related questions from volunteers during clinic operations. Complete post-clinic administration and reporting activities. Other Tax Clinic Related Duties
Undertake other tax clinic-related work as mutually agreed upon. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess: A CPA designation (required). Experience preparing personal income tax returns and/or working with the CVITP program. Strong knowledge of personal income tax preparation. Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience coordinating volunteers, programs, or community initiatives is an asset. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
