Project Controller Pay Rate: $59.76/hour, depending on experience Contract Length: 51 weeks Location: Calgary, Alberta Raise is currently hiring a Project Controller on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Project Controls Pipe Integrity team and support a large portfolio of maintenance and capital projects from initiation through final closeout. Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable. Description Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Project Controller (Intermediate) to join its Pipe Integrity Project Controls Group. Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls Pipe Integrity, the successful candidate will provide project controls support across the General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) and expense annual programs. The Project Controller will be responsible for supporting cost management, forecasting, trend management, project reporting, and accurate estimates at completion across a portfolio of maintenance projects. This role will work closely with Project Managers, internal stakeholders, third-party service providers, contractors, and other project controls professionals to ensure projects remain aligned with approved budgets and baselines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of projects in a rapid-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities Project Controls & Cost Management Manage a portfolio of 50+ maintenance projects supporting the Pipe Integrity GPMC program. Provide project controls support throughout the complete project lifecycle, from initiation through final closeout. Support project estimate development and review activities. Map project estimates into the appropriate control Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Maintain accurate project forecasts, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC). Monitor project costs against approved project and program baselines. Review project financial data and identify potential cost variances, trends, and forecasting issues. Support project management of change and contingency management processes. Classify, initiate, and analyze project trends and assess their potential cost impacts. Forecasting & Reporting Prepare and report monthly project status updates. Provide variance analysis and explanations for project cost performance. Support accurate forecasting and reporting across the project portfolio. Monitor committed, incurred, and forecasted costs. Prepare and maintain project accruals using contractor cost and progress reports. Identify cost trends and communicate potential issues to Project Managers and relevant stakeholders. Ensure project reporting remains accurate, timely, and aligned with established controls. Commitment & Contract Management Support third-party commitment management activities.
