The supports generally include steel framing, bolted or welded connections, and attachments to a steel-plated superstructure. Responsibilities

Perform seismic analysis of existing pipe support designs using GT STRUDL. Assess supports in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III, Subsection NF, and applicable Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) requirements. Evaluate steel members, connections, attachments, and standard vendor components. Document component capacities and demand-to-capacity comparisons. Use supplied support drawings, pipe reaction loads, live loads,



design temperatures, and in-structure response spectra in the analysis. Account for the effects of piping and superstructure temperatures on material properties. Prepare clear engineering calculations and supporting documentation. Qualifications

Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Experience with structural analysis and steel design, including bolted and welded connections. Proficiency with GT STRUDL. Experience with seismic analysis and ASME BPVC Section III, Subsection NF. Familiarity with CISC steel section properties and nuclear generating station projects is preferred.
