Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

face of Canada Post in your community , you'll play a hands‑on role in one of Canada's most essential services — delivering billions of items each year to homes and businesses. You'll be out on the road and on foot, making real connections with the people you serve, rain or shine. About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

Each day starts at the depot, where you'll sort and prepare deliveries before loading up a

Canada Post postal vehicle

and heading out on your assigned route. You'll spend the bulk of your shift outdoors — delivering

mail and packages by foot and by vehicle

— before returning to the depot to unload incoming items for the next round of deliveries. This is a

physical, active role

that requires comfort working in all weather conditions throughout Alberta's seasons. Safety is a core part of the job — from

safe driving practices

to proper lifting technique — and Canada Post provides thorough training to set you up for success from day one. Benefits and Salary

This position pays

running smoothly for thousands of residents and businesses. Sort and prepare

the day's deliveries at the depot each morning before heading out on route Load and drive

a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and efficiently Deliver mail and packages

by foot or by vehicle to customers along your assigned route Return to the depot

at the end of your shift to unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for dependable, physically active individuals who are comfortable working independently outdoors in all conditions. The right candidate will have a clean driving record and the stamina to keep up with a full day of active delivery work.

Customer service instincts

and previous delivery or driving experience are definite assets. Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence

with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required) Physical ability

to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day Ability to work outdoors

in all types of weather year-round On-call availability

as required by the position English and/or French

reading, writing, and speaking ability Customer service experience

is an asset Previous delivery or driving experience

is an asset A valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required); the ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
