We are grateful to work on this land.We are currently hiring for the position of:PRODUCER, BUSINESS INITIATIVES - MARKETThe Producer of Business Initiatives, Market, will map the international landscape by researching key business and creative leaders, analyzing sector developments, and identifying the most compelling projects in development, as well as available IP across film, series and innovation.Their insight shapes initiatives, such as the Project Market and the IP Exchange, to ensure they are forward-looking and strategically aligned with industry needs. They lead planning, invitations, and the curation of producers with projects, companies with available IP as well as key funders, distributors, sales agents, Executive Producers and more.Reporting to the Director - Market Programming and Creator Development, and managing a team, the Producer will meet the creative, skilled and reputational standards and goals of the Market. Their work ensures that Market programming reflects the highest level of industry relevance, innovation,
and opportunity.RESPONSIBILITIES:Contributes to the Market Programming strategy by planning and delivering the Project Market and IP ExchangeOversees programme ideation and scheduling under the guidance of Director of Market Programming and Creator DevelopmentLiaises with stakeholders to listen to pitches, identify and track notable companies and projects in developmentResearches trends and drives innovation that reflects industry and creator developmentsConducts ongoing participant and guest outreach for possible participation in series programmingLeads the submission review and selection process by ensuring participant and project criteria are being met and by sending initial invitations to confirm availabilitiesBuilds expense budgets for partner programming initiatives and manages initiative budgets per programmeTracks participant and speaker fees, fellowships, hospitality, as well as programme expensesOversees departmental and interdepartmental processes, including workflow and task assignments, R-Matrices for Market initiativesEnsures accuracy with scheduling and logistics event builds for the team using Artifax, Trello, ROS, venues and room bookings, and tech requestsOversees the production of Labs, including pitches, meetings, talks and events during the marketLiaises with and hosts stakeholders on-sitePrepares industry-related Communications, including press releases, event descriptions, stage remarks, web and newsletter copy, and ensures they are ready for editorial sign-off and distributionCompiles data for reports and presentations that will be shared with interdepartmental teams and external stakeholdersUpdates post-programme surveys to gauge impact for programme improvement purposes and makes necessary recommendationsFacilitates regular check-ins with stakeholders to ensure programmes are meeting benchmarksOther tasks as assignedSALARY:$60,000 - $80,000/annuallyTARGET CONTRACT DATES:Immediate or upon availabilityWORK LOCATION:Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5Weekly in-office requirements:Minimum 2 days (1st November – 30th April)Minimum 3 days (1st May – 31st October)Festival Office Requirements:
