Specialists from Kingston regularly hold clinics at the hospital. The range and scope of those clinics continue to expand as the hospital grows.Emergency services, operating 24 hours a day, see in excess of 26,000 patientsper year.

Position: Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard - Lennox & Addington County General Hospital

Schedule: Continental Days Only,

Payrate: $19.00/hour

Job Description:

- Proactive & reactive security patrols of main site and outlying facilities
- Response to incidents and intervention
- De-escalation
- Investigate routine incidents
- Parking and smoking enforcement/by-laws
- Policy awareness and enforcement
- Additional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience required
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Ability to complete extensive patrols, to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to work alone and self-motivated
- Fluency in English (oral and written)




- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills is required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
