Full rate effective after 1 year of service)ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:The Support Staff provides assistance to the Diesel Shop and Car Shop with handling and delivering material and parts, operating the forklift, and cleaning in a safe and productive manner.MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESDelivering partsOperating a forkliftSand and glass blastingRemoving carpeting, tape and Ty‑rapWorking with glue, seam sealer, paint stripperTagging parts removed from equipmentAdapts to new methods, processes, material and equipmentFollows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipmentMay work various shifts including weekends and some work outdoors in adverse weatherMay include performing preparatory work to coaches on the assembly linePerforms other related duties as assignedCurrent shift schedules:Monday to Friday 8:00 a.M. – 4:00 p.M.Monday to Thursday 2:00 p.M. – 12:00 a.M.Monday to Thursday 11:00 p.M.
