Working with our Cost Consulting team, the Cost Analyst, Mechanical, will provide technical support for a variety of cost consulting services to new and existing clients as directed by senior staff members in the Western region, and at times to support other Canadian regions, when required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a full range of cost estimates at various stages of the design process, from conceptual design to pre-tender stage for new and existing clientsInspect and assess mechanical elements throughout various building and infrastructure projects, along with full trade and elemental take-off’sPerform mechanical takeoffs using assorted means and methodsCollaborate with internal/external partners to obtain the necessary information to prepare reportsAssist with Lifecycle Analysis (cost estimate, current condition, remaining life, maintenance cost, etc.)Maintaining ongoing client communication and resolving issues as required; escalating issuesto the next level of management as requiredManaging client relationships in a manner that leads to contract renewal, referrals and service expansion including up-sells and cross-sellsKey Qualifications1-2+ years of related experience in mechanical cost consulting/estimatingPost-secondary degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineAn understanding of Mechanical and Plumbing systems and how they work in various types of buildingsExcellent communication skills – interpersonal,
