ABOUT THE CHANCE

CHBA’s national office is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Affairs to lead its building science and building regulatory function. This executive leadership role focuses on residential building codes, standards and regulations and the building science underpinning them. As building code and regulatory advocacy has become a foundational CHBA value to members, the Senior Director plays a critical role in ensuring the industry's voice is heard and understood by governments, regulators, and standards development organizations. A key responsibility of the role is leading a team of 3 technical staff in translating complex technical and regulatory issues into clear,



practical information that CHBA members can incorporate into their business practice. Providing strategic leadership to CHBA’s technical team, the Senior Director Technical Affairs is responsible for the Technical Research Committee and oversees the management of CHBA’s Modular Construction Council. The position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with industry partners, governments and provincial and local home builders’ associations.
