This includes performing phlebotomy, technical and non-technical procedures, as well as using HIS and LIS systems, including Cerner Millenium as required, while working under the direct supervision of a Registered Technologist, Laboratory. The Laboratory Assistant - Core Laboratory may perform cross-functional duties as required.The Laboratory Assistant - Core Laboratory will focus on exceeding our patient/client needs and will support the mission, vision and values as determined by Niagara Health.CANDIDATES MAY INCLUDEUnregistered Medical Laboratory Technologists; Registered MedicalLaboratory Technologists who are not currently practising; andLaboratoryAssistants registered on the CMLTO voluntary roster including completion of 30 hours of qualified continuing education per yearQUALIFICATIONSCompletion of a Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Assistant program from an accredited institution or completion of the discipline specific degree requiredCompletion of Micro-Credential for MLA program required; offered by Michener Institute of Education or similar post secondary collegesMinimum 3 years of practical,
