KeyResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventative maintenance to ensure performance, safety and longevity of the equipmentDismantle components to examine for excessive wear or damageRepair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as necessaryMaintain and calibrate vehicle electrical systemsMonitor hydraulic systems for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, worn gaskets, etc and calibrate or replace components when necessaryMaintain an open and trustworthy relationship with respect to communication amongst staff and the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing ManagerInitiate, manage and delegate daily work assignments with minimal supervisionMaintain records of work completed and report on all shop related activities within the CMMSPerform all maintenance and repair tasks in a cost-effective and fiscally responsible mannerAssist the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager with the preparation of annual budget for vehicle maintenanceEnsure safety and good housekeeping practicesCompliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety programAdhere to all environmental policies and programs as requiredOther duties as assignedQualificationsMust be in possession of a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic’s ticketMinimum 3 years experience working in a heavy-duty mechanics role,
