Yard Operator

As a Yard Operator, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and productive yard operations. From inspecting and grading scrap materials to operating heavy equipment and supporting daily yard activities, you'll be part of a team that keeps our business moving forward.

What You'll Do:

Operate loaders, material handlers, and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently

Inspect incoming and outgoing scrap materials for quality and environmental standards

Assist with loading, unloading, and processing ferrous and non-ferrous materials

Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks

Support inventory management and operational efficiency initiatives

Deliver outstanding customer service and work collaboratively with your team

Participate in daily safety activities and uphold Gerdau's strong safety culture

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience operating heavy equipment is an asset

Interest in learning scrap grading and recycling operations

Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Problem-solving skills and a positive work ethic

High school education preferred
