Senior AccountantReports To:ControllerLocation:Burnaby, BCKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Ownership & Full-Cycle AccountingOwn full-cycle accounting for assigned branches, including:Review and oversight of accounts payable and receivable activityRevenue recognition, accruals, and judgment-based accounting entriesBank, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliationsMonth-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesEnsure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and accounting standards.Financial Reporting & AnalysisServe as the primary owner of branch-level P&L; and balance sheet results.Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned locations.Lead variance analysis, identify trends and risks, and provide clear, actionable insights to operations and management.Partner with leadership to explain financial performance and support decision-making.Sales Tax & ComplianceOversee preparation and filing of sales tax returns across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on the business, recommending process or system updates as needed.Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations.Inventory & Operational PartnershipOversee inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolution.Analyze shrink, margins, and inventory adjustments, identifying root causes and improvement opportunities.Partner closely with operations to strengthen controls, ensure data accuracy, and improve branch-level financial processes.Process Improvement & LeadershipIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.Support system enhancements, new accounting procedures,



and store openings or closures.Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior accounting team members as needed.Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional SupportLead ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.Support internal audits, control reviews, and compliance initiatives.Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, tax, IT, and finance teams.QualificationsDiploma or degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or multi-location environments.Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close.Proficient with accounting software (BC365 an asset) and Microsoft products, with emphasis on Excel.Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.Core CompetenciesOwnership mindset with strong accountability.Ability to work independently and problem-solve.High level of accuracy and consistency.Customer-service approach toward operations and branch teams.Why Fix network ?In addition to joining dynamic and highly motivated team in a flexible and constantly evolving work environment.
