For the
Eyewear Stylist
, the focus should shift slightly away from the clinical/technical and move heavily toward
curation, aesthetic storytelling, and the “art” of the sale.
This role is about the transformation—helping a client find their visual identity. Here is the refined and elevated version: About the Role
At Spectacle, an Eyewear Stylist is a curator of confidence. Your purpose is to exceed client expectations by blending high-fashion expertise with “legendary” service. You aren’t just selling frames; you are helping individuals discover their visual identity through our world-class collection of eyewear and sunwear. With a deep understanding of Spectacle’s mission and award-winning history, you will ensure every visitor is met with genuine enthusiasm, honesty, and a level of expertise that makes them feel like a VIP. Think of yourself as part trend-forecaster, part personal shopper, part problem-solver, and a 100% brand ambassador. What You’ll Do
Curate the Look:
Provide a personalized, concierge-style shopping experience. You’ll guide clients through our “gallery” of frames, offering expert advice on face shapes, color theory, and current fashion trends. Build an Eyewear Wardrobe:
Educate clients on the value of specialized eyewear (sun, computer, fashion-forward) to ensure their vision needs are met for every aspect of their life. Master the Product:
Develop an encyclopedic knowledge of our independent brands, their craftsmanship, and the stories behind the designers. Maintain the Aesthetic:
Take pride in the visual merchandising of the store, ensuring the gallery remains flawless, organized, and inviting at all times. Cultivate Community:
Communicate Spectacle’s values and brand philosophy, turning one-time visitors into lifelong “Spectacle enthusiasts.” Collaborate & Innovate:
Brainstorm creative ways to optimize the client journey and share successful sales strategies with the team. Your Personality
Fashion-Forward:
You have an innate sense of style and a genuine passion for the latest trends in eyewear and design. The “Ultimate” Host:
You are energetic, empathetic, and driven by a desire to make people look and feel their best. Agile & Proactive:
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are quick on your feet, and eager to take initiative. Detail-Oriented:
You have an “eagle eye” for accuracy—from processing orders correctly to spotting a fingerprint on a lens from across the room. Entrepreneurial Spirit:
You treat the store like your own, with a “no task is too small” attitude and a drive to meet and exceed goals. Polished & Professional:
You project a stylish, professional image that aligns with the Spectacle brand. Balanced:
You are super serious about your craft, but you know how to have fun and keep the energy high for your team and clients. Qualifications
The “Style” Factor:
A successful candidate is a natural team player with a sharp fashion sense and a background in retail, design, or luxury service. Sales Excellence:
Proven experience in a sales-driven setting is required. You should be comfortable with “the ask” while maintaining a soft-touch, advisory approach. Communication Guru:
Exceptional verbal skills—you can tell a story about a frame that makes a client fall in love with it. Flexibility:
Availability to work a retail schedule, including weekends and some evenings for exclusive brand events or extended hours. Why Join Us?
Style Education:
Specialized Sales and Optical training programs to sharpen your industry knowledge. Full Coverage:
Participation in our Group Health Benefits plan, including Medical and Dental. The Look:
Significant company discounts and eyewear benefits so you can build your own Spectacle collection. The Vibe:
Regular team outings, legendary events, and reward programs that celebrate creativity and success. Pay it Forward:
Gift cards for friends and family to share the Spectacle experience.
