Reports to: VP Finance Vacancy: Existing Vacancy The Prospect Ottawa Salus is seeking a Finance Managerto lead the day-to-day operations of its Finance function and help strengthen financial reporting, planning, controls, systems and service across the organization. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the role provides financial and department leadership across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, payroll oversight, funder reporting, financial systems, statutory compliance and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting with team leadership, financial analysis, process improvement and partnership with operational leaders.



The successful candidate will help ensure that financial information is accurate, timely and meaningful while building the capacity of the Finance team and supporting sound organizational decision-making. What You’ll Do Lead the Finance Team Provide day to day leadership, supervision, coaching, and direction to the Finance staff. Monitor team capacity and recommend changes to responsibilities, workflows, or staffing where appropriate. Model Salus values, leadership competencies, professionalism and continuous improvement. Financial Accounting and Reporting Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processes and ensure financial records are complete, accurate and timely.
