As a SDE II on the AWS Marketplace team, you will design and build large‑scale distributed systems that power a multi‑billion dollar commerce platform used by customers and partners worldwide. You'll own critical components end‑to‑end — from architecture through delivery — and drive technical direction that directly impacts AWS's growth.

Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable services that handle millions of transactions

Define technical strategy and mentor engineers across the team

Partner with product, business, and partner teams to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions

Raise the bar on engineering excellence through code reviews, operational best practices, and architectural guidance

Basic qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience

3+ years of experience designing and building distributed systems

Proficiency in at least one contemporary programming language (Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.)

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.)

Track record of delivering large‑scale, customer-facing systems

Experience with commerce, marketplace, or SaaS platforms

Strong communication skills and ability to influence without authority
