Manager, AI Governance Enablement

to join its team in

Toronto, Ontario . This is a full-time role at the intersection of responsible technology and organizational change — one that puts you at the centre of how one of Canada's largest retailers governs and scales its use of artificial intelligence.

Rather than sitting in an isolated compliance function, this role is built around collaboration. You'll work directly with

AI practitioners, product teams, and business stakeholders

to translate governance requirements into tools and guidance that teams can actually use day-to-day. The goal is straightforward: make responsible AI practices the path of least resistance across the organization.

About the Role: Manager, AI Governance Enablement At its core, this position is about driving

adoption of AI governance practices

across Canadian Tire's enterprise. That means partnering closely with delivery teams, supporting them through

AI risk assessments, reviews, and approval processes , and developing the practical tools and templates that make governance less of a hurdle and more of a habit. You'll also lead

enablement programs, training sessions, and communities of practice

to build real capability across the business.

Beyond the day-to-day enablement work, you'll be responsible for monitoring how well governance practices are taking hold — tracking

adoption, maturity, and process effectiveness

across business units and identifying where friction can be reduced. This is a role that requires both rigour and empathy:



understanding the pressure delivery teams are under while keeping responsible AI standards front and centre.

Benefits and Salary Canadian Tire offers a

broadband salary range of $80,000 to $131,000

for this role, with final compensation depending on experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Beyond salary, the company provides

Partner

Provide guidance

across the organization

Develop

Identify opportunities

to reduce friction and improve the user experience for teams navigating

AI governance requirements

Requirements / Skills The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical awareness, strong communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset. Canadian Tire is looking for someone who can bridge the gap between

governance and delivery teams

- someone who understands both the importance of risk management and the realities of quick-moving product environments.

5+ years of experience

in AI, analytics, data governance, change management, or enablement roles

Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

across business and technical audiences

Experience translating policies, standards, and risk requirements

into practical, actionable guidance

Proven ability to influence

and build relationships across diverse teams

Collaborative, service-oriented mindset

focused on balancing governance with innovation

5+ years of experience in AI, analytics, data governance, change management, or enablement roles.
