The Leduc & District Food Bank is seeking an energetic, reliable, and adaptable Warehouse Laborer to join our team. This position works in a busy warehouse workplace and requires someone who can work both collaboratively and independently, in an ever-changing setting to meet the needs of our clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities
Build client hampers
Load and unload stock, including food, dry goods, and other donated items
Sort, inspect, shelve, rotate, and organize inventory according to FIFO practices
Maintain, organize, and manage stock in the warehouse, freezer, and cooler as required
Conduct basic inventory counts and report discrepancies
Operate Food Bank vehicles for pickups and deliveries
Perform basic forklift and pallet jack operations
Assist in other areas of the warehouse as required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work setting, including snow removal from doors and drive areas
Follow all warehouse safety procedures, food safety standards, and safe lifting practices
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and other senior staff

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Experience handling food products and donated goods in a regulated environment is an asset




Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
Basic understanding of food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Forklift certification and experience operating pallet jacks are assets
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing daily workloads
Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently
Working knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with staff, volunteers, and clients
First Aid certification is an asset
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Additional Requirements
Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
