WB Melback Corporation provides Mechanical Maintenance and Industrial Construction Services to Forestry and Mining sectors across Canada.Millwright (Journeyperson/ Apprentice)We are currently looking for Journeyman/Millwrights who have experience with industrial and construction equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.ResponsibilitiesTravel to construction site to meet project-based needs.Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power toolsInspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctionsAdjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective partsEnsuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installationsKeeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentationCleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineriesAdhering to workplace safety policies, regulations,



and compliancesMaintaining a clean and environmentally protected work areaPerforming other related duties as assignedRequirementsWorking knowledge of safety standards of equipmentMillwright Experience (Journeyman or Apprentice)Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.Availability to work on other projects.Experience in OSB and wood forest & mining products will be considered an asset.Valid Driver’s Licence.ConditionsPhysically DemandingIndustrial ConstructionBenefitsFlights, Meal Allowance & Accommodations - may apply pending candidates’ main residence.Shift DetailsShifts: 10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)Shift Rotation: Six (6) days on and One (1) day off rotation for a minimum of three (3) consecutive weeks, then you are eligible for seven to ten (10) days off.
