Dental Receptionist / Sterilization Assistant

Cedar Dental is looking for a friendly, reliable and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist / Sterilization Assistant to join our team in Timmins.

This is a versatile position for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and supporting the clinical team. The successful candidate will work as a receptionist and sterilization assistant, with responsibilities shifting according to the needs of the office.

We are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy dental environment.

Reception duties may include:
Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
Scheduling, confirming, and coordinating patient appointments
Managing and updating patient records
Processing payments and assisting with billing and insurance inquiries
Using ABELDent dental practice management software
Providing general administrative support as required

Sterilization and clinical support duties may include:
Cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, and sterilizing dental instruments




Following established infection prevention and control protocols
Maintaining sterilization logs and documentation
Preparing treatment rooms and assisting with room turnover
Providing general support to the dental team as required

Qualifications & Skills
Previous dental or medical experience is an asset
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing office needs
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Friendly, skilled, and compassionate approach with patients
Willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities
