BOOKKEEPER – NEWVIEWS / NV2 EXPERIENCE

Key Requirement:

Previous practical experience working with NewViews / NewViews 2 accounting software is strongly preferred and will be given priority.

Responsibilities include:
Full-cycle bookkeeping for small and medium-sized businesses
Recording and reviewing accounting transactions
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing trial balances and accounting reports
HST/GST calculations and working papers
Payroll-related bookkeeping
Maintaining accurate client records
Assisting with year-end working papers and accountant requests
Reviewing accounts and identifying discrepancies
Communicating with clients when information is required

Qualifications:
1 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
Hands-on NewViews/NV2 experience
QuickBooks proficient
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger
Knowledge of HST and payroll




Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Positive written and verbal communication skillsAn ideal candidate will:
Be comfortable working with multiple client files
Understand accounting rather than simply entering transactions
Be able to investigate and correct discrepancies
Have experience working in a public accounting environment
Be willing to assist with other accounting-office responsibilities as required
