CareCorp Seniors Services is a contracted services provider to the senior care community in complex care and assisted living settings, providing services including nursing, personal care & support, recreation, qualified therapies, food services, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.

The Payroll Coordinator will work remote and act as a front line contact for approximately 600 union hourly employees
.

Position: Payroll Coordinator

Status: Temporary 18-month contract (maternity leave coverage)

Salary: $48,000 to $54,000 per year, depending on experience

Benefits: Extended health and dental perks, fully remote/work-from-home position

Additional Requirements: May occasionally be required to work weekends or holidays, depending on payroll schedules

Core Duties & Responsibilities
Review daily timekeeping and prepare payroll.
Maintaining up-to-date payroll documentation for all current and departing employees including Records of Employment.
Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
Maintain compliance with all government agencies in Canada (Federal & Provincial).




Providing earnings information for WorkSafe BC & ICBC claims.
Update taxable benefits
Investigate and resolve payroll related queries.
Create payroll, perks and HR reports as required.
Review payroll processes.
Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications & Competencies
General Payroll Program experience would be an asset
Member or progression towards designation for Canadian Payroll Association, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).
Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment, especially the Employment Standards Act of BC
Prior experience in health care industry and union contracts (preferred)
