Accounting Clerk

124 on Queen Hotel and Spa & PennCapital Holdings is currently recruiting an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Team. The Accounting Clerk position will be based out of our corporate offices at 342 Townline Rd (Niagara on the Lake). PennCapital provides management and accounting services to a number of related companies including a hospitality operation in Niagara on the Lake (124 on Queen Hotel and Spa, Treadwell Farm to Table Cuisine, NOTL and a Starbucks location).

Overview

The Accounting Clerk position provides exposure to a wide variety of tasks including accounting, administration, and human resource functions. This is a supporting role with an chance to develop skills on all aspects on the business.

Basic Functions
Enter payable invoices in Quickbooks.
Prepare intercompany invoices for services and support.
Support the payroll processing function.
Process expense reports and petty cash reimbursements.
Support the Bookkeeping function for a small, related group of companies.
Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies and problematic accounts.
Maintain an up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system to support accounting, financial records,



and payroll records to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
Other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1 year of recent accounting experience.
Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Office software.
Diploma in Accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience
Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
Solid attention to detail
