Job Overview
We are seeking a Live In Caregiver for Mon to Fri to provide essential support, for a senior in her own home. This role is vital in assisting with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being. The position is temporary with a start date of Dec 29 until the end of March with the possibility for extension.

Private bedroom and separate bathroom provided.

Ideal candidates will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care.

Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
Support clients with mobility and physical activities
Maintain a clean and secure living workplace by performing light housekeeping tasks (e.g. vacuuming, dishes, laundry)




Document daily care activities and report any changes in client conditions to family members or healthcare professionals.
Provide specialized care for clients with conditions such as dementia or disabilities.
Assist with daily pet routines/feeding

Requirements
Previous experience with senior care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or hospice care is preferred.
Ability to perform caregiving tasks with compassion and patience.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
Previous experience with medication administration preferred.
Must love dogs.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Must have resume, recent related experience and references.
Experience with dementia care and ostomy care are an asset.
A valid driver’s license would be an asset.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $3,200.00 per month
