AVSS is an aerospace company and is the world leader in guided and unguided parachute recovery systems for commercial drones. AVSS also develops robotic components and solutions.

AVSS is hiring a detail-oriented and reliable part time bookkeeper to support finance operations. The executive team would rely on this person to maintain accurate financial records and support timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties
Accurately categorize a wide range of transactions with exact descriptions and supporting attachments. (Note: Average quantity of transactions per month is 600)
Understanding our projects, products, and operational workflows.
Reconcile accounts on a regular basis (banks, credit cards, and balance accounts).
Prepare payroll using Wagepoint.
File PD7A remittance payments twice per month using Wagepoint.
Generate financial statements, including the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
Responsible for quarterly tax filings including GST/HST (and PST/QST when applicable).

Qualifications and Skills

Need to have:




A post-secondary degree/diploma with a focus in the field of accounting/finance/bookkeeping
Understanding of Canadian accounting practices
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to learn and manage bookkeeping across multiple projects and product lines
Comfortable working independently in an in-office workplace
Proficiency with accounting software (experience QuickBooks online)

Flexible language requirement:
French not required

Saint Andrews/St. Stephen

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
