Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Health Care Aide to provide care for a friendly adult male quadriplegic who uses a power wheelchair. This is a family-managed care position based in a private home.

Type: Part-time

Shifts Available:

Daytime 8:30am-4:30pm M, T, W, Th, and/or F

Duties
Assist with daily living activities, including transfers in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications and monitor health status as directed by family care managers and healthcare specialists
Document changes or concerns in health in communication book, and communicate concerns with family care managers
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
Support with activities such as light housekeeping, cleaning, lawncare and maintenance, and maintaining a safe home setting
Transporting to appointments and errands as required
Participate in leisure outings such as sporting events, movies, spending time outdoors, etc.




Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life

Experience
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
Knowledge of patient care procedures, medication administration, and caregiving best practices
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for mobility assistance or transferring

Qualifications
Proficient skills in reading, writing and speaking English
Certification as Health Care Aid or Nursing, or Medical Background strongly preferred
Possess a valid class 5F Manitoba driver's license

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
