Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other machinery essential for large-scale construction projects. This role requires a robust understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe project completion. Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment and knowledge required. The Excavator Operator will play a vital role in executing excavation tasks with precision and professionalism.

Duties
Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving equipment to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Assist with horizontal drilling operations as needed for utility installations or other project requirements
Support construction activities by operating equipment for material movement, site leveling, trenching, and foundation work
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment at all times




Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance activities

Skills
Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery in a construction setting
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment
Solid understanding of heavy equipment safety procedures and protocols
Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery with proficiency
Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus
Commercial driving skills for transporting equipment or materials between sites
Knowledge of construction site operations including grading, paving, and site preparation processes
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
Flexability and positive attitude toward varied tasks and job sites

Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
