Who the CTC is: The Clinical Testing Coordinator is the clinical-quality gatekeeper of every visit. From the PCC handoff through pre-testing, data collection, and the OD handoff, the CTC produces the accurate clinical data the doctor trusts — and delivers the longest, most personal one-on-one stretch of the patient’s visit.

The 9 Core Responsibilities
Patient Handoff & Rooming

Main idea: You receive the patient from the PCC and set the tone for the clinical half of the visit.
Pre-Testing Workflow & Patient Communication

Main idea: Pre-testing is the patient’s longest one-on-one — your discipline here shapes their whole impression.
Clinical Data Collection in the Exam Room

Main idea: The OD trusts the exam because your data earned that trust — every field complete, every measurement correct.
Specialty Screening — Standing-Orders Execution

Main idea: The PCC recommends at the front; you EXECUTE the pre-authorized screenings with precision — and observe for anything current.
Contact Lens Training

Main idea: You turn a CL prescription into a confident,



independent wearer — with a strict, humane standard.
Room Prep & OD Handoff

Main idea: A clean room and a 30–60 second clinical handoff convert your work into context the OD can use.
Patient Education & Experience

Main idea: The tone you set in the longest interaction of the visit shapes how the patient feels about the whole clinic.
Equipment, Infection Control & Room Readiness

Main idea: The equipment is only as good as its readiness — and downtime costs clinical care and revenue.
Flexibility, Team Support & OD Downtime Protocol

Main idea: Non-doctor days build the next strong doctor day, and when the OD runs behind you’re part of the response.

Job Requirements:
Optometry / optical work will be an asset.
2+ years experience at a clinic testing (Optometry setting)
High school diploma.
Exceptional customer service

Job Types: Part time

Pay: $25,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
