The St. John’s Transportation Commission is a service quality conscious organization committed to providing enhanced customer service and an efficient transportation system for the residents of St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise. To assist in this work, the Commission is looking for an individual to fill the position of Information Services Representative on a part time basis. The hours of work will be a minimum of 24 hours per week but may be greater depending on the needs of the call centre.

DUTIES: The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
responding to telephone and on-line inquiries for route schedule information;
selling bus passes;
serving as first point of contact for on-site visitors and customers;
receiving and responding appropriately to customer complaints with professionalism and respect;
keying data into computer and web-based applications;
editing and printing route schedules and preparing for distribution to outlets; and
performing various administrative and clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should possess demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service; an ability to work independently and as part of a team; well-developed verbal,



listening and interpersonal skills; strong written communication skills; graduation from high school supplemented by the completion of an office administration program; experience working in computerized office environment; experience working in an inbound call centre; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
