Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Civil Construction & Excavation Labourer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of manual and technical tasks related to civil construction, excavation, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, mechanical skills, and safety procedures, contributing to productive project completion and maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site.

Responsibilities
Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation activities using heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and bulldozers
Operate power tools, hand tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
Perform rigging tasks to secure loads for lifting or movement with cranes or forklifts
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems on-site, ensuring equipment functions properly
Assist with the operation and maintenance of forklifts and other heavy machinery
Follow safety protocols related to oil & gas environments and general construction sites
Support team members with material handling, site cleanup, and setup of construction zones
Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel

Qualifications




Proven experience as a civil construction or excavation labourer with a focus on heavy equipment operation
Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery and tools
Skilled in rigging, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
Valid certification or experience operating forklifts and heavy machinery preferred
Knowledge of oil & gas industry standards is a plus
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and standing for extended periods
Strong commitment to safety procedures and teamwork-oriented attitude
Prior experience working with oil & gas projects is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
