Albany Medical Clinic is seeking a reliable, friendly, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient service while supporting the clinic’s day-to-day administrative operations.

Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with skilled phone etiquette
Schedule patient appointments using EMR systems PSS
Patient Check-In & Demographic Update
Verify all key patient information (Health card number, version code, expiration date, address, phone number, DOB, pharmacy information, email and voicemail consents, roster status).
Prepare invoice and process payments as per physician instructions
Reschedule/cancel appointments as required
Respond to physician messages/tasks especially for booking patients within specified timeline;
Calling patients with results
Perform urine, drug, & pregnancy test
Clean and stock rooms with supplies
Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure care plans are well documented




Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year experience working as a medical receptionist
Knowledge of TELUS PSS is an asset
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Comfortable working in a busy medical clinic environment
Qualified, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
Must be available for day and evening shifts, Monday through Sunday
