Duties:
Machining on various pieces of equipment used in the Forestry, Mining and other heavy industries
Equipment maintenance
Operate metalworking machines, such as a lathe, milling machines to shape and fabricate metal parts
Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
Use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure accuracy of dimensions
Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet specifications

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Red Seal and/or Journeyman or equivalent years of experience
People and Communications skills
Proven experience as a metal machinist or similar role
Proficient in operating metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines,




Robust knowledge of machining techniques and process
Experience in Forestry Equipment an asset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
