Duties
Spread and level asphalt material using rakes to achieve a smooth, even surface according to project specifications
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, or pavers to support paving processes
Prepare the work area by cleaning and setting up tools and materials before paving begins
Collaborate closely with the paving crew to ensure consistent application and proper compaction of asphalt
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools,
reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards
Support the team in maintaining project timelines by efficiently completing assigned tasks
Skills
Experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, skid steers, or pavers is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of paving techniques and asphalt application processes
