The Pro Contractor Sales Desk is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and productive service to all customers. They must be able to demonstrate a high degree of product knowledge to accurately advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card, charge accounts, returns) using the POS software system and other store programs. This can be a rapid-paced position at times and high attention to detail is essential.

Duties/Responsibilities
Assist customers in locating merchandising in the yard and in the store
Ensure customers are greeted/acknowledged within 30 seconds of approaching the building supplies counter
Must be able to initiate accurate quotes on building supplies for contractors and general public
Liaise with Building Supplies sales staff as required




Coordinate with Yard staff regarding product availability and customer service, and communicate via radio when required
Pull inside store product for orders
Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriate
Resolve customer complaints
Stock and keep tidy building supplies counter and area as required
Follow Health & Safety procedures according to store policy, provincial and federal legislation
All other duties as required or assigned

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
