Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care, with previous experience in hospital or pharmacy settings preferred. Duties
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Manage inventory by restocking shelves and verifying medication supplies
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and legal regulations related to pharmacy operations
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing,



and processing insurance claims as needed
Use medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare specialists and patients
Support medication administration processes when required, adhering to proper protocols

Qualifications
Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
Experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and follow detailed instructions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32,845.17-$61,467.69 per year
