Duties
Operate snow plow trucks and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and walkways
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance
Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any equipment malfunctions or repairs needed promptly
Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during snow removal operations
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving freight or materials using forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary
Maintain detailed logs of work performed, including areas cleared and equipment used
Respond quickly to changing weather conditions to ensure timely snow removal efforts
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license with experience operating large vehicles and heavy equipment
Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including snow plows, forklifts, or similar machinery
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, shoveling, and working outdoors in cold weather conditions
Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to follow detailed instructions
Prior experience with freight handling or commercial driving is a plus but not mandatory
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or during storms as needed
