Tourism Kingston is seeking passionate and community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors.

We currently have three vacancies available beginning in 2027:
One (1) three-year term
One (1) two-year term
One (1) one-year term

This is an exciting chance to help guide one of Kingston's most significant economic sectors while contributing to the growth and prosperity of our community. Why Join the Board?

Tourism contributes significantly to Kingston's economy, supports local businesses, creates employment opportunities, and enhances our city's reputation as a premier destination. As a member of the Tourism Kingston Board of Directors, you will help shape strategic priorities, provide governance oversight, and contribute your expertise to initiatives that support sustainable tourism growth.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in:
Travel trade and tourism development
Sport tourism
Business events
Film and media
Music
Attractions and visitor experiences
Business, finance, governance, legal, marketing, or community leadership

strategic thinking, and community impact.

Our vision is to position Kingston as a premier destination for leisure travellers, business events, sporting events, and group travel while leveraging tourism as a key driver of economic growth and community vitality.

Working alongside partners including the City of Kingston, Kingston Economic Development Corporation, Kingston Accommodation Partners, RTO 9, Downtown Kingston BIA, and many others, Tourism Kingston promotes Kingston as a vibrant and welcoming destination for visitors from around the world.

What We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will
Bring diverse perspectives and skilled experience
Demonstrate leadership and sound judgment
Have an interest in community and economic development
Be able to contribute to strategic discussion and decision-making
Act as ambassadors for Kingston and its tourism industry

Previous board experience is considered an asset but is not required.
