Personal Support Supervisor - Greater Toronto Area

MedStaff is currently seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a Personal Support Supervisor in the Greater Toronto Area.

Compensation: Salary starting from $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities: Provide clinical knowledge, support, and supervision for Personal Support staff.

Review and establish care plans during patient visits.

Provide delegated training and identify the educational needs of staff and assist them in achieving learning objectives.





Complete and document a safety assessment at the time of patient admission and assess the environment for safety/risk issues during each patient visit.

Conduct incident investigations as needed.

Participate in orientation and educational sessions.

Participate in rotating on-call schedule.

Conduct probationary reviews and annual performance appraisals.

Conduct other tasks as assigned.

- Qualifications: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in positive standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Good understanding of the health care services and delivery processes in the community.

Minimum of 2 years nursing experience. Previous experience in supervisory roles in a community setting preferred.

Previous leadership experience required.

Strong critical thinking skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience with Information Technology including MS Office Suites is required.

Valid license and reliable vehicle are mandatory.

Second language is considered an asset.

Experience as a Home Support Supervisor, PSW Supervisor, Community Supervisor considered an asset.
