Materials Testing Firm Seeking a Lab Technician

Growing engineering firm is seeking a Lab Technician to perform materials testing in our concrete lab for materials from the Greater Vancouver, BC region. The qualified applicant will be responsible for providing accurate and productive testing of concrete samples in the civil construction industry. Experience in the construction industry or materials testing field is an asset.

Working in our materials testing lab, the technician will be required to review and maintain various test reports and records, perform compressive and flexural strength testing of concrete, navigate non-conformance issues, and provide technical support where needed.

Starting Wage: $22.00 to $24.00 /hour. Wage is negotiable based on prior experience. On the job training is provided.

Requirements:

Math and personal communication skills, the ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis,



and working on your feet for a full shift is required.

The perfect candidate will have aspirations of a career in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related field. You have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, are organized and have the ability to develop and drive team objectives and build ethical work relationships.
