Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as ECEA/ECE/Break Coverage staff. This role involves providing quality childcare and educational support within a dynamic early childhood workplace. The position offers an chance to work with children, including those with disabilities, and to contribute positively to their developmental growth.

Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment
Provide break coverage for lead teachers, maintaining continuity of care and instruction
Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
Assist in implementing educational programs aligned with curriculum standards
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding daily activities and individual needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces




Document observations and progress notes to support individualized learning plans
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute age-appropriate activities

Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices essential
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
Bilingual skills, especially in English and French, are highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
Solid leadership qualities with the ability to foster positive relationships with children and colleagues
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in computer operation and classroom management software
Classroom experience that showcases organizational skills and the ability to adapt to various situations is preferred

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
